SEASIDE VIEW

I’m sitting inside my hotel room in a big brown chair

embracing a window view, downhill, towards the sea

staring fascinated at the deep blue sea and its foaming waves

but not in a despairing way, as I never would dare to do

the sea is much more than an element to me

it is an essential part of mine, my raw identification

loving its forceful strength and majestic being

always feeling home close to it, no matter how far away I am

my head leans backwards, resting softly in that big brown chair

looking through the thin layered bright reflecting windows

seeing the sea in fascinating lights, broken by prism

and filtered by the salty air and mist in the air

I travelled west, just to face east again

and I don’t know which direction I exactly should be facing

maybe the answer is somewhere ankered on the seabed floor

through big windows, hours long, day after day, I dare to search

I hope one day the sea will push me in the right direction

rinsing my soul with salty water, like the best medicine I can imagine

healing from past challenging days, cleansing and rebuilding me

making me healthier, I dare to dream
