ENDLESS PAIN

A pain inside your body no doctor can explain

is a pain so scary and oppressive you never dared to imagine

it makes you doubt the doctors first, then society as a whole

before you finally point at yourself, disbelievingly and frightened

that’s scary, pure horror and simply not to understand

your brain is disconnected from your own body

it’s screaming for help, sending you a pain response

begging you to finally listen, to do something, to start to act

but what to act on you’re not sure, as troubles mount everywhere

you’re helpless, confused, empty, and in poor condition

by now you dragged on like this for years, unknowingly

spending more time at the doctor than with your family

precious family time lost forever,

lost in waiting rooms, adding to your pain

what will make things better again you don’t know the answer

you’re still helpless, confused, empty, and in poor condition

you try to remember better days from years ago

days not plagued by pains and endless disbelieve,

days you miss and crave so desperately now

how have you lost the connection,

where have those years gone you wonder now

and will they ever return you ask yourself full of fear,

over and over again

the final bang is loud, violent, and very painful

it is the exorcism of your soul, leaving your body ripped in pieces,

leaving you shattered in a place you never thought would exist

but now you’re here on this strange somewhat surreal place

where for the first time in years someone listens to you

and understands your pain
